Love the show! I have been listening to back episodes all day at work for several weeks trying to catch up.
Got my first jeep, a 1980 CJ7 in the late 80s. Shortly after that my wife left me! So for several years after that I ran Toyota 4WD pickups and 4Runners instead! And wife version 2.0 stayed with me! But I never lost that loving feeling for jeeps.
Since I am now in my early 50s, I decided it was time for a mid-life crisis. But instead of having a fling with a younger woman, getting divorced and losing half of my life savings, I thought getting another jeep might be cheaper. Boy was I wrong!
I picked up an 02 TJ and am slowly upgrading it and making it mine. And wife version 2.0 is still with me! She has even ridden with me a few times in it, and actually doesn't hate it. And the comments about spending more money on "that damn jeep", are growing fewer and fewer! I picked a winner. Oh, and I picked a good wife 2.0 too. (Love ya honey.)
Anyway, love the show, the banter and the humor. Especially like the tech talks. I am going to hate getting caught up, as listening to the show really makes the day fly by. You guys (and lady) keep up the great work!
Wayne lives in Christchurch New Zealand and was right in the middle of the multiple mega quakes that occurred there. This “interview” with Wayne occurred during a live show when he called in to give us an update and take his mind off of the recent quake devastation in his area.
You’ll hear reference to Shern-Min Chow, who is a local (Houston) news reporter that had interviewed him earlier in the day.
Sit back and as you listen be thankful for two things. You don’t live in an area that hasn’t been hit by a 7+ Earthquake and you have a Jeep! 😀
