I just installed the cable disconnect on the CAD on my HP D30. I also installed a Lock Right locker. I have 4.10 gears, running a 5 spd manual and my 2.5L (4 angry squirrels). I am currently running 32×11.5 15″ Kenda Klevers.
I elected to retain the 2 piece design with the cable lock for the CAD because it allowed me to retain better highway manners on wet/slick roads (snow, rain, etc) while giving me the advantages of a locked front end off road.
Question: are there stronger (as in Chromemolly) axles to replace my stock axles?
